Genius Steak and Ale Pie Review

Before becoming coeliac, I used to love steak and ale pie with a puff pastry case. I found it really hard to find a good dupe for the pies I used to love but I think I have found one!

Genius steak and ale pies are made with tender steak and a shortcrust pastry with a thick gravy inside. I find these perfect for the winter months now it's starting to get cold! I love to eat mine with gravy, mash and peas - it's a match made in heaven!

Here are five reasons why I love these pies so much:

1. The steak is super tender and really good quality.

2. The gravy inside the pie is really rich and flavoursome.

3. The pie comes out crispy and golden.

4. All you need to add to the pie is an egg wash.

5. It tastes very similar to regular shortcrust pastry.

While these pies aren't puff pastry, I still really enjoy them as it means I can still have pie and mash whenever I fancy. They are available in the freezer gluten-free section of most super markets. Enjoy!
