Christie’s and Balthazar

I know, I know, I go to Christie’s a lot, but this time it was for dinner so I feel like I can get away with it! So on Saturday I went out for dinner with my Dad and Grandparents before I went back to uni which was very cute.

We started off in Balthazar for some cocktails which were stunning as always. I first opted for a peach bellini as I haven’t had one before and to be fair, I really liked it. However my favourite will always be a strawberry daiquiri which I went for as my second cocktail. It was mixed perfectly and didn’t taste alcoholic which is always dangerous!

We then moved on to Christie’s which I haven’t eaten off their dinner menu since being coeliac so was interested to see what options there were. They had a new allergy menu which I was very excited about and it included the 14 main allergens with a breakdown of all their dishes. It was so clear and easy to read I could not recommend it enough!

I opted for beef stroganoff which was naturally gluten-free with rice which was really rich and flavourful. We then decided we could also manage a dessert so I went for the milk chocolate parfait. This is probably a dessert I would have gone for pre being coeliac as well so it was really nice to have. I feel like so often there are never any chocolatey desserts for coeliacs on menus as it’s normally ice cream or cheese so was really excited to have it.

Anyway, that’s a run down of my Saturday night and what I thought, see you next week!
